Thousand Lakes Trek Some Route Characteristics: The Snowman Trek is said to be the hardest trek in the world, with 12 mountain passes between 4,500 and 5,300 meters above sea level, overnight stays at between 3,700 and 5,100 meters, taking you through some of the least traveled routes and high alpine areas. These treks require endurance and tests even the seasoned trekkers. The Druk Path, Dagala Trek and the Laya-Gasa Trek are relatively shorter treks that witnesses remarkable altitude differences, and can take between 3 to 6 days. The Bumthang Culture Trek, Gangtey Trek and Samtengang Trek takes you through some of the remotest villages of Bhutan. These treks can last between 3 to 4 days. Note: These trekking itineraries have been designed based on past experiences of visitors to Bhutan and what they experienced about various trek routes. They show the actual duration of the trek only. They can be combined with other cultural tours or treks. The treks are such that you can gain the maximum out of this experience without exhausting you. The treks may depend on seasons. However, these readymade itineraries may not be convenient for some visitors.
